The ICP “Master of Transportation Sciences – Road Safety in Low & Middle Income Countries” is a prestigious 2-year multidisciplinary master’s programme designed to address critical road safety challenges in developing regions. Supported by VLIR-UOS, the programme offers 10 fully funded scholarships each year. The programme takes a cross-border, holistic approach, integrating fields such as psychology, economics, urban planning, engineering, environmental studies, and sociology to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of road safety systems.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold at least an academic bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: behavioural sciences (psychology, sociology), political and social sciences, mathematical or statistical sciences, economics or transport economics, transport or traffic planning, urban planning or design, geography, (urban) architecture, or engineering (transport or civil).
- Have a minimum grade of distinction.
- Note that a Bachelor of Technology or HND is not sufficient for admission.
- Demonstrate sufficient English proficiency.
- Be a national and resident of one of the 29 eligible countries listed by VLIR-UOS (nationality and residence do not need to be the same).
- Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Have relevant professional experience in either the public or private sector.
Benefits of the ICP Connect Scholarship 2026
The ICP Connect Scholarship provides full financial support, covering tuition fees, travel expenses, insurance, and living costs (accommodation and meals) for the entire duration of the 24-month programme.
