Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- For Master’s programs, applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree; for Ph.D. programs, a master’s degree is required.
- Must be enrolled in TMU partner institutions, universities in Tokyo’s sister cities, or other recognized universities in Asia. Alternatively, candidates working at research institutions, government bodies, or companies in Tokyo’s sister cities or other Asian regions are eligible.
- Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in contributing to innovation, research, and collaborative initiatives that benefit Tokyo and the wider international community.
- Program Eligibility: All Master’s and Ph.D. programs at TMU are eligible, including fields such as:
- Human Health Sciences (Nursing, Physical Therapy, Radiological Sciences)
- Systems Design (Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics)
- Urban Environmental Sciences (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Tourism)
- Humanities, Law & Politics, Management, and Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
Benefits
The scholarship is fully funded and includes:
