The University of Lausanne (UNIL) Master’s Grants offer international students a competitive, merit-based opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in Switzerland. These scholarships are designed for high-achieving graduates from foreign universities who demonstrate outstanding academic performance. Each year, UNIL awards approximately ten scholarships to exceptional students.

- To be considered for the UNIL Master’s Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a foreign university degree equivalent to a bachelor’s and demonstrate distinguished academic performance.
- Achieve at least B2 level in English or French, depending on the language of instruction of the chosen program.
- Must not have previously been registered at UNIL.
- Open to students from all countries worldwide.
- Payment of CHF 200 administration fee is required.
- Scholarships are not available for the following programs: Master from the School of Medicine, Master of Education, most Masters of Law (except International & Comparative Law and Legal Theory), Master of Criminal Law (Magistracy specialization), MSc in Physical Education and Sports Didactics, MSc in Health Sciences, and all MAS and PhD programs.

Benefits
The UNIL Master’s Grant provides:
- A monthly stipend of CHF 1,600 from 15 September to 15 July (10 months per year) for the standard duration of the program (1.5–2 years depending on the Master’s program).
- Exemption from fixed course registration fees, except for CHF 80 per semester.
- Access to Switzerland’s high-quality academic environment enabling students to develop professionally and academically.
NB: The scholarship stipend is intended to partially support living costs in Switzerland, and students are encouraged to consult UNIL’s reference budget page for guidance.
