- To be considered for the UMGF scholarship at the University of Manitoba, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum GPA Requirement: A minimum admission GPA of 3.0 is required. However, some departments may have higher GPA expectations. It’s advisable to confirm with your department.
- Full-time Enrollment: Applicants must be admitted as full-time students (without provision) or have cleared provisional admission in a Master’s or Ph.D. program at the University of Manitoba.
- Admission Offer: You must have already secured an admission offer from the University of Manitoba in a graduate program.

The value and duration of the UMGF vary depending on whether the recipient is pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. program:

- Master’s Awards: Valued at $20,000 per year, available for 12 or 24 months, with a total value of up to $40,000.
- Doctoral Awards: Valued at $25,000 per year, available for 12, 24, 36, or 48 months, with a total value of up to $100,000.
- Master’s Awards: Valued at $20,000 per year, available for 12 or 24 months, with a total value of up to $40,000.
